Harold David Smith

Harold David Smith, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on May 27, 2025. Born on July 29, 1947, David was the son of Harold and Lucille (Peach) Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Lee Smith; mother, Lucille Peach Smith; and brother, Michael "Mike" Smith.

David had a passion for travel and enjoyed exploring the country by car. He was also an aviation enthusiast, often found watching planes from his back porch. David dedicated over twenty years to his work as a machinist at American Saw and Tool, later concluding his career as a forklift driver for Excel Logistics, and he earned a degree in accounting.

In addition to his professional achievements, David had diverse interests, including music, cars, and golf, which brought him joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving son, Norman Lee (Jeanetta Mason) Smith; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Smith and Alyssa Renee Smith; great-grandchild, Amelia Holly Rose Smith; as well as his siblings, Vicky Morrison, Jeff (Missy) Smith, James Alan Smith, and Lora Smith. He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
