Harold Paul Bielefeld, 87, of New Albany died Thursday, March 31, 2016. He was a member of the First Church of God and Graceland Baptist Church, both of New Albany. Harold worked in the local area as an industrial insulator and was a member of Local #51.

Harold was born on March 23, 1929, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Marie (Seewer) and Henry E. Bielefeld, Sr. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (McGill) Bielefeld and his son, Paul Bielefeld.

Harold is survived by his children, Rebecca J. Hutchens (David) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Matthew J. Bielefeld (Wendy) of Boonville, Indiana; brother, Henry Bielefeld, Jr., of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bielefeld; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Gentiva Hospice of Southern Indiana (391 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).
