Harley J. Starnes, 77, passed away on August 15th, 2016 in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Clifton and Clarice (Bartley) Starnes. Harley is retired from Local 89. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Evelyn Fields, Rondall Starnes, John Edd Starnes, Cecil Starnes, Runell Lyvers, Lonnie Starnes, and Judy Owens.
Harley is survived by his wife, Loretta (Deane) Starnes; children, Jill Decker and Clint Starnes; granddaughter, Macie Starnes; and siblings, Roy Starnes, Roger Starnes, Anne Sims, and Phyllis Daugherty.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 19th, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday August 20th, 2016 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). His Funeral Service will be on Saturday, August 20th, 2016 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Susan G. Komen Non-profit Breast Cancer Organization or Beechland Baptist Church Building Fund.
