Harbourt Lee Gossett, Sr.

Harbourt Lee Gossett, Sr., 79, of Louisville, KY, passed away on December 2, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Harbourt was born on July 13, 1942 in Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Lee Gossett & Gertrude Gossett, and his sister, Betty Lou Thompson.

Harbourt was known as a simple man that loved his family dearly; especially his wife, Dianne, of almost 58 years. They were married on December 28, 1963. Harbourt worked for over 42 years as an X-ray Technologist and retired from Central State Hospital. Harbourt will leave a legacy behind that will last for years to come. He has impacted many people here on this earth and eternally as well. He loved Jesus and those who knew him, knew how important his faith was.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne; 3 wonderful kids: Lee Gossett, Tammy Levenhagen (Matt), Neal Gossett (Kim); 7 grandchildren: Mac Wortham (Rachel), Taylor Wortham, Carter Gossett (Alyssa), Renee Gossett, Brady Gossett, Isabella Levenhagen and Charlotte Levenhagen. He is also survived by a great grandson, Wyatt Wortham.
Harbourt has heard those wonderful words, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

His celebration of life will take place on December 17, at Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Road, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be from 12-1:30 with a service to follow at 1:30.
