Hampton Eugene Peters

Hampton Eugene "Gene" Peters, age 75 of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018. Gene retired from Ashland Oil after 25 years of service and was a member of Southeast Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa who adored his family. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Carrington Peters; and his parents, William and Aleene Peters.

Gene is survived by his loving children, Julie Stottmann (Andy) and Todd Peters (Dana); grandchildren, Hayden and Camden Peters, Aaron and Tate Stottmann; brothers, Dean Peters (Diann) and Don Peters; several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3-8pm Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Gene's life will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 22nd at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Floydsburg Cemetery.
