Hamilton Ormsby "Sonny" Herr III, 72, of La Grange, Kentucky passed away on July 31, 2016. He retired from Shockey Tours after many years of service and he most recently worked for Tri-County Community Action Agency. Sonny was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and was a friend to many.

Hamilton was born on June 18, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Hamilton and Alice (Carroll) Herr.

Hamilton is survived by his children, Angela Holshouser (Billy), Sarah Ferrell (Jim), and Brian Herr; grandchildren, Evan, Emily, and Avery; and a host of many friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, August 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). His Funeral Ceremony will be at 1:00 pm following visitation. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East (11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, KY 40241).
