Gus D Burris

Gus D. Burris, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019. Gus was an avid mechanic who loved working on cars. He enjoyed playing cards, and playing pool.

He was born on December 9, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to Gus Burris and Susie Rucker. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother, William Rucker, and Sister, Delores Rucker.

Gus is survived by his loving Wife of 32 years, Nellie Burris, Sons, Davis Burris, Sr., and Martez Williams, Sisters, Mary Ann McDaniel, Fayetta Spurley, Betty Sue Rucker, Deborah (Anthony) Jaudon, Andrea (Darrell) Harris, Latonya Burris, and Delisa Burris, Brothers, Dwayne (Loraine) Edwards, Clarence (Nanny) Rucker, Robert Lee Rucker, and Ulysses (Vanessa) Rucker, Grandchildren, Jazmine Burris, and Davis Burris, Jr., Great-Grandchildren, Jayden Burris-Bender, Bryson Thomas, Royalty Burris, and Kasion Williams. Gus also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Extended Family and Friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Philippians Baptist Church, (407 South 19th Street). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, at Philippians Baptist Church (407 South 19th Street) with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery.
