Gregory Eugene Taylor

Gregory Eugene Taylor, 62, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. Greg was an avid NASCAR, boxing, and wrestling fan. He also enjoyed fishing and watching all types of sports. He studied at Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg.

He was born on February 7, 1959, in Evansville, Indiana, to Sharon (Irick) Taylor Shepherd and the late Kenneth Taylor. In addition to his father, Greg was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Keys.

Along with his mother, Greg is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon (Burk) Taylor; sons, Daniel Taylor (fiancé, Christopher Mosher), and Shawn Taylor (Nicole); brother, Bret Taylor; granddaughters, Ava and Mia; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg, Indiana.
