Gregory Wade Shields, 36, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on October 27, 2015 after a life-long chronic illness.
He was born on September 30, 1979 to the late Jerry Shields, Sr., and Peggy (Glass) Shields. He graduated from Fern Creek High School in 1997.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy Shields, brother, Jerry Shields, Jr., two nephews, Evan (Mara) Shields, Garrett (Nikki) Shields, great-nephew, Mack Shields, long-time friend, Christy Slusher and her daughter, Monica. He is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
His funeral ceremony will held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in the name of Jerry Shields, Jr.
