Grace Yaeko Balchunas

Grace Yaeko Balchunas, 79, of Louisville, passed away on April 25, 2015.
Grace was born in Hokkaido, Japan on August 15, 1935, to the late Saijiro and Tsune Naraki. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by one sister, Kiyoko and two brothers, Isamu and Shigeru.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Lisa Wright, long-time companion, Aki Nagakura; grandson, Tristin Coughran; two sisters, Sachiko and Miyako; and two brothers, Masami and Tsutomu.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral ceremony will be held Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Grace loved the color purple, in her honor the family and visitors plan to wear purple during her services.
