Gordon "Eric" Parker Jr., 42, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at his home. He worked as a horse groomer at Churchill Downs, in Louisville, Kentucky for many years. Eric was a member of Bethel A.M.E Church in New Albany, Indiana. He enjoyed skateboarding, loved music, and spending time with his friends and family.

He was born on May 29, 1973 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Gordon Parker Sr. and Janet (Robinson) Washington. He was also preceded in death by his father Gordon Parker Sr..

Eric is survived by his loving daughter, Mariah Parker, his mother, Janet (Robinson) Washington (Donald), siblings; Steve Parker, Sonja Fourte (Monty), Missy Lewis, Janet Studstill (Archie), Terra Carter, Gordon "Gordy" Parker, Nijer McCormick, Isaiah Parker, grandmother, Winnie Mickens, along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be 4 PM to 7 PM on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service to follow at 7PM.
