Coombs, Gordon Lee "Butch", 74, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on October 22, 2016.
Gordon was born on September 3, 1942, in New Albany, Indiana to the late Elmer and Julia Coombs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Jo Ramirez Coombs; children, Deidre Wyatt-Pope (Tom), Sherrie Smith; step-children, Janet Wiegner (Bob), Steven Ramirez (Kristi) and Rick Ramirez (Julie); grandchildren; Sarah, Christian, Asha, Curtis, Quinton and Eden; step-grandchildren, Tommy, Dylan, Kristina and Hannah; siblings, Irma Ward, Bobby Coombs (Norma), John Coombs, Bernard Coombs (Billie Jo), Leland "Pepper" Coombs (Pam), Jill Ferry; a host of loving nieces and nephews; and two special friends, James Hancock and Max Cawthon.
Memorial visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) with a celebration of his life to start at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
In loving memory of Gordon, memorial contributions may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital.
