Goldie Mae Kinder

September 19, 1921 — June 18, 2019

Goldie Mae Kinder, 97, passed away at Franciscan and she was born in Lawrenceburg, KY, Anderson County on September 19, 1921. She enjoyed going to the Kentucky State Fair every year. Goldie loved working in her flower garden and watching cowboy movies, especially Gunsmoke and the Rifleman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Kinder; parents, Cecil and Eva Stratton; sisters, Edna McDowell, Joyce Stratton and brothers, Clinton, Robert, Coy and Roy Stratton.

Goldie is survived by her daughters, Jan Martin and Ruth (David) Conn; grandchildren, Scott (Leslie) Metcalf, Mark (Alicia) Martin and Jon (Jacquelin) Martin; great-grandchildren, Kayla (Clint) Morris, Nicholas Martin, Alex (Kim) Metcalf and Joey (Leighann) Metcalf; 3 great-great grandchildren and brothers, Walter (Betty Jane) Stratton, Donnie (Gail) Stratton, Bronson (Marcus) Stratton, Garvice (Lavone) Stratton and Leon (Jean) Stratton.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel. 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 1pm- 8pm. A celebration of Goldie's life will be Monday, June 24, 2019 beginning at 11am at the chapel of the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Lawrenceburg Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, KY.
