Mrs. Golda Mae Tate, age 80, passed away July 6, 2009 in Newport News, VA. She is survived by her son, Terry M. Tate, Sr. (Christine); daughters, Cheryl Wantland (John) and Lisa Paul (Bill); brothers, Joe and Armond Vaughn; her sister, Dora Slinker. Also surviving are 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Tate's life will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home,235 Juneau Drive with interment in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.
