Gola Marie Perkins, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021.
She was born on January 19, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Huber and Virginia (Kelsey) Giles. She is also preceded in death by her son Gabriel Thomas Oechsli, husband David Perkins, partner Jack Norris, brother David Giles and grandparents Lonnie and Olen Kelsey.
Gola worked as a bartender for 31 years at the Levy Restaurant at Churchill Downs and was a member of the Elks Lodge #8. Gola is survived by her children Andrew David Oechsli (Erica), Lorin Michelle Oechsli, grandchildren Hailey Oechsli, Drew Oechsli, Isaiah Gomez, Kalista Barry, "dad" David Goffinett and siblings Martha Berry, Debbie Ernspiker, Frank Giles and Peggy Giles.
Cremation was chosen by Gola and a memorial service will be held on Sunday October 24, 2021 from 2-6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge #8 (2824 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY 40218).
In lieu of flowers, Gola asked that donations be made to Rockford Lane Baptist Church (2006 Rockford Lane, Louisville, KY 40216)
