Gloria’s life was built on a foundation of enduring relationships and boundless warmth. She was the beloved wife of F. J. (Frank) Shipley, whose memory she cherished every day following his passing. Together, they created a home filled with compassion, humor, and strong family ties—qualities that Gloria upheld throughout her life.
Gloria was the devoted mother of three sons: Steve Shipley, David Shipley, and the late Bryan Shipley. Her sons were the pride of her heart, and she poured her energy into nurturing, guiding, and supporting them through all of life’s moments—both joyful and challenging. The tender memories and values she instilled in Steve and David remain a testament to her giving spirit, as does the lasting impact she had on Bryan, whose memory continues to be held dear.
Her love did not stop with her sons; it radiated outward to the next generation. Gloria will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Samantha Leonard, Bryan Shipley, Jason Deering, Ranse Jenkins, John Jenkins, Miranda Jenkins, Katelyn, and Krista. She celebrated their every achievement, consoled them through setbacks, and delighted in hearing their stories and dreams. Her home was always a welcoming place, her table often surrounded by laughter and the sharing of both everyday happenings and significant milestones. Whether offering a comforting word, insightful advice, or simply an empathetic ear, Gloria was a steadfast pillar for those fortunate enough to know her.
Gloria remained youthful in spirit, taking joy in the simple beauty of each day. Her resilience in the face of heartache and her capacity for joy in times of celebration were inspirations to those around her. Her gentle strength, her encouraging words, and her unwavering presence will be missed beyond measure.
