Gloria Jean Specht Moore, 96, was born March 3, 1925, in Louisville KY died July 9, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents Louis Ernst Specht and Audia Mae Hite Wilhelm, three sisters and two brothers. Also, her son Robert L. Moore.
She is survived by her devoted and caring son Howell I. "Sonny" Moore, Jr. (Linda) and daughter-in-law, Louise Lord Moore of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is also survived by her grandchildren Matthew Moore (Allyson) and Benjamin Moore (Dr. Tadd Roberts) of Louisville, Annie (Mike) Mennillo and Genevieve (Kenny) Haligua of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Additionally, 11 great grandchildren Reagan, Mason, Paisley and Beckett Moore, Callum Moore-Roberts, Nicola, Matteo, Alessandro and Stella Mennillo, Julian and James Haligua. Her former husband Howell I. Moore, Sr. also survives.
She was a devout Christian with past memberships at Beechmont Baptist, Walnut Street Baptist and Southeast Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY. A celebration of Gloria's life will be 10am on Wednesday, July 14th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Kentucky Walk for Hearing.
