Gloria Y. Marlow, age 89, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016. She grew up in Columbia, Pennsylvania, and left her home and family to follow the love of her life, Si. She worked as a clerk and secretary in both Western and Ballard High Schools, retiring after 25 years of service. Gloria loved to square dance and was a member of Belles n' Beaus. Her faith led her to Southeast Christian Church where she was a long-time member. She enjoyed traveling and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pauline Hoover Yohe.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Silas; children, Sherry Flener, Vicki Woodrum (Dana) of O'Fallon, MO and Donna Barnett of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Dimitri (Steve), Danille Woodrum-Allen (Jeff), Carrie Woodrum, Nathaniel Woodrum and Tracy Flener; great-grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Jocelyn Allen and Sydney Allen; sisters, Nellie Fliss (Joe) of Lancaster, PA and Charlotte Guiles of Columbia, PA; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 2-4pm Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with a celebration of Gloria's life at 4pm.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
