Gloria Jean Hicks

Gloria Hicks, 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

She was born on April 12, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to Thomas and Pauline (Miller) Bushong. She loved her flowers and had her own flower room. She loved children and was a babysitter for many years. She was a member of Adair Assembly of God Church for 22 years. She was a part of the summer lunch program at Portland Park for 12 years. The most important thing in her life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher Hicks, Sr.; sister, Maryann Philpott; sister, Diane Philpott; sister, Shirley Elliott; sister, Jeanie Mason.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William "Bill" Hicks, Sr.; son, William Hicks, Jr.; son, Kevin (Carla) Hicks; son, David (Margaret) Hicks; daughter, April (Anthony) Simpson; 12 grandchildren, Tyler Hicks, Haley Hicks, Christopher Hicks, Jr., Allison Hicks, Joseph Molinari, Bethany Hicks, Conner Molinari, Parker Molinari, Isabella Hicks, Bailey Molinari, John David Hicks, Toni Simpson; brother, Lloyd (Sue) Bushong; sister, Carol Parsons; sister, Vickie (Wesley) Brock and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Funeral Ceremony at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Private family inurnment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.

The family requests that contributions in Gloria's memory be made to Alzheimer's Association.
