Glenon Dale Maple, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Glen was a hard working and devoted individual and retired from General Electric after 35 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Glen was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and companion to his pets "Jake", "Lucy", and "Lexi". He was an avid University of Kentucky fan, and enjoyed watching WWE, Gunsmoke, and Andy Griffith Show. Glen served during the Korean War in the United States Air Force as a Air Policeman. Glen enjoyed traveling to Florida and going to the beach. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born on May 14, 1931 in Rockport, Kentucky to Travis "Midge" & Grace Maple. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Bonnie Mae Maple, Parents, Grandchild, Brianna Miller, Siblings, Junior, Joe, Durwood, and Neil.
Glen is survived by his Daughter, Anita (Byron) Miller, Sons, Jeffrey Hudson, and Jason (Jeanette) Maple, Grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Nick) Leber, Kalea (Adrian) Collins-Hudson, Jessica Hudson, Travis (Tonya) Maple, Jacob Miller, and Makenzie Maple, Great-Grandchildren, Noah Collins, and Graysonn Maple, Sister-In-Laws, Mary Maple, and Pat Maple, Best Friend, Bobby Singleton. Glen also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home -Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor James Hauser officiating. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm Central Time at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City, Kentucky with Tim Stephens officiating.
