Gladys Nell Ray, 61, of LaGrange, Kentucky and formerly of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 9, 2016.
Gladys was born on December 22, 1954, Hazard, Kentucky to the late Byrum and Harriett (Hamilton) Sparkman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Mark Ray; Brothers, David Sparkman, Warnie Sparkman; James Sparkman, Howard Sparkman, Dwayne Sparkman; Sisters, Verlie Sparkman, Miniveve Sparkman; and Grandchild, Grant Livers.
Gladys is survived by her Daughter, Gladys Ann Flener; Step-Daughter, Shelli Ray Waldridge; Step-Son, William Thomas Ray; Daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ray; Son-in-law, Billy Waldridge, Martin L. Flener; Brother, Waldon Sparkman; Sisters, Cathy Roberts, Linda Timberlake, Jeanette Calhoun; Grandchildren, Devin Flener, Amber Flener, Joshua Tyler, Gracey Waldridge, Rebekah Waldridge; Great-Grandchildren, Amilia Ramos, Ethan Ramos, Tyler Ramos.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville). Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
