Gladys Irene(Gregory) Upchurch

Gladys Irene (Gregory)Upchurch, 81, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on May 25, 2016. She was born on February 22, 1935, in Montecello, Kentucky, to Eli and Flora "Effie"(Koger) Gregory. Gladys was a great homemaker and also worked at Walmart in Corydon, Indiana for many years. She was a faithful member at Harrison Hills Baptist Church in Lanesville, Indiana. Glayds enjoyed gardening, her flowers, shopping, and loved her cats, Fluffy and Callie.

Along with her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Upchurch, son-in-law, Thomas Gill, siblings; Alpha Hancock (Newell), Roy Gregory(Margaret), Lula Cooper (Woodrow), Jesse Gregory (Mary), Robert Gregory, Mary Gregory, Ina Gregory. She is survived by her loving children, Vickie Wright (Tim), Roger Upchurch (Ceil), Melodie Gill (Thomas), sister, Evalee Roberts (Shelby), 5 grandchildren; Daniel (Ashley), Bradley (Katie), Ashley, Andrew, and Lucas.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) from 3-8PM. Her Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 2PM with visitation before from 10-2PM at Harrison Hills Baptist Church(3822 Crandall Lanesville Road NE, Lanesville, Indiana 47136) with burial to follow at Lanesville Protestant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Harrison Hills Baptist Church.
