Ginevra Carol Grady, known to many as Carol, passed away on October 2, 2026. She was born on May 17, 1970, in Columbia, Kentucky, and will be remembered as a bright, spirited presence whose warmth and energy left a lasting impression on those around her.
A 1988 graduate of Campbellsville High School, Carol was active in her school years, playing basketball and running cross country. That same lively determination and strength stayed with her throughout her life and shaped the way she met the world.
Carol was an entrepreneur who owned Carol’s Hair and Nails, a reflection of both her independence and her gift for connecting with people. She was also a special caregiver to her family and to many others, offering comfort, attention, and steady kindness in ways that will not be forgotten. She was a feisty firecracker who could light up a room with her personality. Loving and caring to all, she was known as someone who would always lend a helping hand to those in need.
She found joy in life’s colorful and familiar pleasures. Carol loved cats, flowers, plants, cooking, and dancing. She cheered for the Green Bay Packers with enthusiasm and also enjoyed playing the lottery, especially pick 3. These everyday passions were part of the vibrant spirit that made her so memorable to those who knew and loved her.
Among the roles she treasured most were those closest to her heart. Carol was proud to be a mother, auntie, sister, daughter, and niece, and she took special joy in being “Gam Gam” to her grandchildren. Those titles were more than names to her; they were expressions of the love, devotion, and pride she carried throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Glen and Carrie Frances Grady; sisters, Margo Grady Stone and Vernetta Lee Grady; sister cousin, Chanda Calhoun and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Carol leaves to cherish her memories, her siblings, Tony D. (Cynde) Grady, Travis Grady, Stephen (Tracey) Grady, Zack Grady and Christopher Grady; nieces, Kristie Grady, Danielle Warfield, Alix Edelen, Sidney Beams, Mercedes Stone, Carrie Troxtle and Jessica Grady; nephews, Kadyn Grady, Bailor Grady, Aiden Edelen, Kingston Johnson, Tyler Grady, Justin Lipskiy, Antwan Elliott and Christian Troxtle; beloved friend, Anthony "Ko Ko" Anderson; lifelong bestie, Rozeita Bragg and a host of many cousins, aunts, uncles and an abundance of friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on October 10, 2026, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church, 426 Fallen Timber Road, Campbellsville, Kentucky 42718. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Carol’s life was marked by heart, humor, and a generous spirit. She will be remembered for the care she gave, the joy she shared, and the unmistakable spark she brought into every room.
