Gilliam "Gill" Stotts, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021.
He was born on May 5, 1942 in Adair County, Kentucky. He married the love of his life, Mary Hefley on December 12, 1960. They happily celebrated 60 loving years together. He retired from Auto Rail Local 89 after 25 years of service. Gill enjoyed working on cars, watching NASCAR, and playing pool. He and Mary enjoyed RVing around the country for the last 15 years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Shaw; granddaughter, Detective Deidre Mengedoht (LMPD 2nd Division); 8 siblings, Bill Stotts, David Stotts, Adale Stotts, Ollie Foley, Annie Wilkerson, Theora Willard, Dorlis Allen & Orbindale Stotts.
Gill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary C. Stotts; daughter, Mary Ann (Kevin) Higgins; daughter, Brenda (Chuck) Young; son, Bob Stotts; 4 grandchildren, Ashley Lewis, Tyler Stotts, Kelley Ann Higgins, Derek (Seiko) Stotts; 5 great grandchildren, Marqus Lewis, Isaiah Lewis, Michael Lewis, Preston Mengedoht, Sophie Stotts; fur baby, Harley Dee; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a Funeral Ceremony at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Burial to follow service at Hebron Cemetery, Shepherdsville, KY.
