Gilbert Ray Hadley, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, went home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.

He was born on June 17, 1936 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to Ray & Lora Pearl (Robertson) Hadley. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, David Lee Hadley. Gilbert retired from American Standard after 30 years of service. He was a devoted family man, avid fisherman and dedicated NASCAR enthusiast.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Freeda M. Hadley, daughter, Kelly Jean (Tom Higgins) Durden, son, Gary Ray (Shelby) Hadley, 3 grandsons, Justin Ray Hadley, Isaiah Lee (Jennifer) Hadley, Chase Allen Durden, 3 great grandsons, Jackson Ray Hadley-Rice, Rayce Porter Hadley, Sawyer Lee Hadley, sister, Norma Jean Coffey.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Graveside Service will be at 12:00 pm (CST) on Saturday, November 3rd at New Friendship Cemetery, Russell Springs, KY.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Gilbert's memory be made to American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
