Geri Shaw Hassman

February 14, 1941 — February 8, 2021

Geri Shaw Hassman, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side February 8, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1941. She lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she cherished more than anything. She was a member of South Jefferson Christian Church. Geri was a dedicated Kentucky Wildcat Fan.

Geri is survived by her three children Patty Hagan (Danny), Kim Brotzge (Bob), and Troy Hassman (Maria), grandson Brian Beltz (Stephanie), granddaughters Paige Hassman Stanley (Matt), Alyse Brotzge Manley (Brandon), Elle Hassman, Olivia Brotzge; four great-grandchildren Brooks, Rilynn, Hayden Manley and Easton Stanley; her sisters Shirley Miller, Judy Ryan and brother Mike Shaw. She had several nieces, nephews and family that loved her. Geri was preceded in death by her son Larry Todd Hassman.

A service to celebrate her life will take place at 5:00 pm on February 14, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home- Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). The family will accept guests for visiting at the funeral home from 12:00 pm- 5:00 pm prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or The Special Olympics Kentucky at www.soky.org.
