Gerard Celestine Renn Sr.

Gerard Celestine Renn Sr., 84, of Lanesville, Indiana, was called home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Gerard was born on February 24, 1931 in New Albany, Indiana to Charles and Celestine Renn. He retired from General Electric with 30 years of service, member of Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, a U.S. Navy veteran was a hard worker, and enjoyed gardening, football and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Josephine Renn, seven children, Gerard Renn Jr., John Renn, Kathleen Hunter (Robert), Lora Votaw, Victoria Renn, Michael Renn, Daniel Renn, sister, Rita Garrett, 6 grandchildren, Rachael and Hannah Votaw, Sarah, Benjamin and Lucas Hunter.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 4 to 8PM at (Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY). Service will be Friday at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church (4049 South Fifth Street, Louisville, KY 40214) with burial to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in New Albany,Indiana.
