Geraldine Long

Geraldine Long, 73, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. First and foremost, Geri was a faithful follower of Jesus and lived out her Catholic faith in all that she did. She was a devoted wife, mother, mom mom, sister, and friend. Her love for family and children went beyond her own. She was affectionately known as Ms. Geri by many families who trusted her to care for their children at Kids of the Kingdom. She was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.

She was born on October 1, 1948, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Francis and Angelina Deldeo Delia.

Geri is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ron Long; son, Jason (Sandy) Long; son, Justin Long; daughter, Janette (Jeff) West; sister, Christine (late Richard) Galbraith; brother, Frank (Linda) Delia; and grandchildren, Chase Durgan, Nathan Long, Lincoln West, and Charlotte West.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana). Her Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the church with burial to follow at the church cemetery. The family graciously requests that all visitors wear masks and practice social distancing while in attendance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Geri's memory can be made to St. Elizabeth Catholic Charities (702 E. Market St., New Albany, IN 47150).
