Geraldine Dwayne (Carmen) Klingsmith, 67, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015. She loved going to yard sales and collecting wicker baskets.
She was born on October 31, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky. Gerry is survived by her children, Tim Klingsmith (Loretta), Paula Longest (Anthony), Andy Klingsmith; siblings, Sue, Brenda, Danny, Cynthia, Donald; grandchildren, Shatona, Candace, Brandon, Dustin, Veronica, Ronnie; great-grandchildren, Hayle, Hannah, Katrina, and Marcel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Klingsmith; mother, Emma Lowden; and sisters, Lydia and Betty.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 1:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
The family requests contributions in Gerry's memory may be made to the March of Dimes (4802 Sherburn Lane, Louisville, KY 40207).
