Geraldine "Gerri" Gaskin Aaron came into this world with a bang on July 4th in 1937. She left reverently for her eternal home on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020. Gerri was born on the Gaskin Homestead in Russell Springs, KY to Loren and Mary Susie Gaskin and she grew up there with her brothers and sisters. Gerri graduated from Russell County High School
in 1949. Shortly after graduation, she married Robert Thomas Aaron, now deceased. Soon after the wedding, Robert "Bobby" was called to serve in the US Army and Gerri entered the work force.
Gerri considered it a privilege to serve others as a Home Healthcare Giver. She had empathy for anyone who was sick
or suffering pain and she wanted to help wherever she could. In this capacity, she found happiness and fulfillment.
Gerri was also artistic and creative. She was an excellent seamstress, a great cook, and she enjoyed reading. One of her
favorite books was The Journey by the late Billy Graham.
Gerri was completely dedicated to her children: Deidra Sue Carter of Oklahoma City, OK, Dena "Gayle" Boivin of Jacksonville, FL, Robin Aaron-Murphy of Franklin, TN, Thomas "Renee" Spellman of Sellersburg, IN and Robert Brent Aaron of Lawrenceburg, KY. Gerri delighted in her grandchildren: Brock and Lindsey Carter, Lauren and Sarah Boivin, Alex and Scout Vehring, and Katie and Andrea Cook. She also had three adorable great grandchildren, Brockman Carter and Sophia and Raylan Vehring.
Gerri is preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Mary Susie Gaskin, and her sisters, Juanita Gaskin, Janice Montgomery, Judy Blair, and Julia Devers. In addition to her children and their families, she is survived by her brothers and their wives: Donald and Joyce Gaskin of Hustonville, KY and Linton and Alene Gaskin, Gary and Alberta Jo Gaskin, and David and Elaine Gaskin all of Russell Springs, KY.
Gerri will forever be remembered for living her life with courage and determination. She will be sorely missed.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
