Gerald Wayne Wood

September 3, 1948 — April 20, 2016

Gerald Wayne "Woody" Wood, 67, passed away on April 20, 2016. He retired from the Navy SEABEES, served in the Army during Vietnam and was proud to serve his country.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leon Wood and his sisters, Helen and Theresa.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Wood; children, Daphne (Vance) Fox, Sherry (Matthew), Cabral, Lorrie (Kevin Shively) Wilson and Craig Wilson; grandchildren, Heather (Travis), Andrew, Jedidiah, Jena, Cody and Colin; great-grandchildren, Saul and Violet; brother, Joe; sisters, Rita and Jean and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 2pm-6pm with a celebration of Gerald's life beginning at 6pm.

A graveside service will be Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery Central, (2501 N Dixie Blvd), Radcliff, KY beginning at 11am.
