Gerald L. Tauscher

February 22, 1928 — September 30, 2017

Gerald Leon Tauscher, age 89, of New Albany, IN, died on September 30, 2017 at New Albany, Indiana.
 
He was born on Feb. 22, 1928 in Knoxville, TN to Margaret and Walter Tauscher.  He was a US Navy veteran, a graduate of Louisville Male High School, and of the University of Louisville Speed School. He worked as a Systems Engineer and Project Planner for IBM, retiring in 1987. He is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Louisville, KY.
 
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven, and is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret, and sons David A. and Thomas G. Tauscher. He is also survived by his brother Richard, and by three grand-daughters, a grand-son and a great grand-daughter.
 
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, October 6, from 10am to 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, KY, followed by a Memorial service at Noon and interment at Cave Hill Cemetery.
