Gerald Smith, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018.

He was born on August 26, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to Leslie and Virginia Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Gerald is survived by his loving Wife of 56 years, Sandra B. Smith, his Son, Scott A. (Lisa) Smith, his Daughter, Heidi C. (Ben Conaway) Smith, his Brother, David R. (Anna) Smith, and Sister, Janet L. (Rick) Davis, Granddaughters, Allie C. Smith, and Chloe P. Smith, and his Grandson, Jackson S. Cozine.

A celebration of his life will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 7, 2018, at Shively Baptist Church, 1599 Sadie Ln, Louisville, KY 40216. Burial will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160, before the service, at 1:30 pm, on Friday, September 7, 2018.

The family will accept flowers or contributions to Gerald's memory be made to Shively Baptist Church .
