Gerald Lee "Schup" Schuppert

Gerald Lee "Schup" Schuppert, 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023. He was a United States Army veteran and lifelong avid golfer. Gerald was a fan of horse racing and liked to gamble. He had been a member of the New Albany Redman's Club, and was currently a member of the American Legion Post 28 and VFW Post 1693.
He was born on August 9, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana to Chester and Minnie (Davis) Schuppert. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Schuppert; and sister, June Utz.
Gerald is survived by his granddaughter, Shawna Schuppert; brother, Donnie Schuppert (Janice); as well as many extended family members and good friends.
Gerald's wish was to be cremated and a reception of family and friends will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). He will be laid to rest privately at Beech Grove Cemetery in Salem, Indiana.
