Gerald L. Shaw

Gerald L. Shaw, 65, of Otisco, Indiana, passed away on January 9, 2016, after an illness, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was a 1968 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. He retired from General Electric, where he worked for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his father Benton K. Shaw, Sr.; his mother Martha S Shaw; three brothers, William N. Shaw, Marvin G. Shaw, and Benton K. Shaw, Jr., all of Jeffersonville. He is survived by two brothers, Charles J. Shaw of Jeffersonville and Ronald L. Shaw of Otisco. Also, his buddy, the family dog, Scampi, and several nieces and nephews. He loved driving the back roads, taking long walks, and watching wildlife. He also loved listening to his police scanner. He is our brother, and he is loved and will be truly missed by us all.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Eastern Cemetery located in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
