Gerald "Jerry" Kloak, 60, of Fossil, Oregon, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
He was born on April 2, 1961 in Roseburg, Oregon to Darrell and Gladys (Adams) Kloak. He is preceded in death by his father Darrell Kloak, Sr.
Jerry was a devout man of God, an Oregon Ducks supporter, and a massive New Orleans Saints fan. After serving in the US military in Germany, Jerry lived an additional 22 years there, learning German, and setting the roots of a life-long love for German culture and food. Anyone who attended any family get together knows he loved preparing his quintessential warm German potato salad. After finding the love of his life Denise, a spontaneous wedding followed. Jerry and Denise expressed their love for one another surrounded by family and friends in 2010. Jerry loved caring for those who could not care for themselves, and after earning his CNA, he spent the last 8 years serving patients at the VA hospitals in Sacramento, CA and Louisville, KY. Jerry will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor, his compassion for the patients he cared for, and his dedication to his church and family.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Denise Kloak, mother Gladys Kloak, stepchildren; Danielle Bramblett (Kevin), Matthew Klaus, Nicholas Klaus, granddaughters; Claire Bramblett, Julianne Bramblett, sisters; Eva Cronin, Sandy Stevens (Tom), Patty Lunsford (Rodney), brother Darrell Kloak, Jr., four nieces Rachel, Rebecca, Lisa, Kaylee and two nephews TJ and Joe.
