Gerald Howard

Gerald "Jerry" Howard, passed away on April 22, 2026. He was born on October 19, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Jerry proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to his courage and sense of duty. Beyond his service, Jerry was a man who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, often finding solace and peace beside the water’s edge. However, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his grandchildren, cherishing moments that created lasting memories and deep bonds.

Jerry's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 20 years, Sharon Howard, whose partnership and support were sources of great strength. He is also survived by his children, Angela Mitchell and her husband, Jeremy, along with Shawn Howard and his wife, Christina; his step-children, Shannon Timberlake, Sherri Timberlake, Randall Hertle with his wife, Loren, and Bradley Hertle with his wife, Lexie. His role as a grandfather extended to fifteen grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra Clark and Donna Allen.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Howard Sr. and Ester Stone Howard; and his siblings, Irma Howard, Charles Howard Jr., and James Howard.

Cremation was chosen following Jerry’s wishes and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
