Georgina R (Barrero) Minard

Georgina R. (Barrero) Minard, 86, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on October 24, 2016. She had a strong Catholic faith and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church In Jeffersonville for many years. Georgina was born on October 7, 1930, in Havana, Cuba, to Ricardo and Maria (Julia) Barrero. She loved spending time with her children, enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, and making earrings and clothing to donate to the African Ministries through her friends in Christ.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ricardo and Rolando Barrero and Dora McGraphe. She is survived by her loving children, Rick (Cindy), Debbie Peugh, Mike, Ron (Bonnie), Rob, and Tim (Deb) Minard; and brother, Eddie Barrero; along with 14 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with service to follow at 1p.m. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
