Georgianna Allen

Georgianna Allen, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. Georgianna was a loving mom, granny, great-granny, sister, and friend. She graduated from Valley High School in 1968. She worked at Whip Mix Corporation until her medical condition forced her to retire several years ago. Georgianna confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She was active in her church (Meadowlawn Baptist) until she fell ill. At her church she served in the kitchen and always greeted everyone with a smile. She also sung in the choir and was loved by many people in the church. Georgianna will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on January 3, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to Calvin and Anna (Kemp) Katchen. She is preceded in death by her father, Calvin Katchen, mother, Anna Lee Katchen, and sister, Linda Katchen.

Georgianna is survived by her loving family, children, Larry L. (Crystal) Allen and Andrea E. (Curtis) Davis; grandchildren, Kalisha Allen, Desmond Allen, Keianna Davis, Kameron Davis, and Miya Allen; great-grandchild, Jordyn Allen; brother, Tony (Joyce) Katchen. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Meadowlawn Baptist Church, (12103 E. Orell Road). Her Home Going Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Meadowlawn Baptist Church.

The family requests that contributions in Georgianna's memory be made to American Cancer Society.
