George William "Bill" Hasselback, 84 of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, was called home on Friday, July 31, 2015. He was a United States Army veteran that proudly served his country during the Korean War and retired from Schardein & Sons. Bill was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family.
He was born on February 26, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James E. and Elizabeth (Zinninger) Hasselback. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, James Hasselback and Norma Koehler.
Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret "Peggy" (Hall) Hasselback; children, Greg Hasselback (Cheryl), Scott Hasselback (Kati), Mary Beth Larsen (Jeff); siblings, Sue Ann Cook, Michael Hasselback, Judy Marie Palmore; and 5 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 3 PM to 7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service taking place at 7 PM.
Cremation will follow according to Bill's wishes.
