George Edward Stokes Jr.

George E. Stokes Jr., aged 67, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on October 24, 2026. Born on December 3, 1958, in Louisville, to George and Corine (Cathey) Stokes, George was known for his humor, charisma, and unwavering dedication to his family and work. A graduate of Ahrens Vocational High School, he worked tirelessly and never met a stranger; everyone he encountered became an instant friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George Edward Stokes, Sr. and Thelma Corine Stokes, and his sister, Melanie Stokes.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Juan Beals, Trina Beals, and Takesha Stokes; his brothers, Terry Cathey and Reginald (Patricia) Stokes; his sister, Elizabeth Stokes; and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and dear friends who will remember him fondly.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy).
