George Smallwood, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021.
George was a loving father. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. George retired from Mirro-Foley Co. in Manitowoc, WI, He loved fishing and being outdoors.
George was born on July 24, 1937 in Bear Branch, Kentucky to Elbert and Ollie Smallwood. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer Smallwood, Jesse Smallwood, Bill Smallwood, and Leslie Smallwood; sisters, Martha Gilbert, and Carol Morgan.
George is survived by his children; George Smallwood, Jr., Angela Gadberry, Connie Kirlin, Sarah Smallwood, and Seth Smallwood; sisters, Alpha Pruett, Wanda Goode, brother, Clay Morgan; 6 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 am, with burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
