Bob Murray, 92, of Prospect, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was retired from the Louisville Police Department, with 34 years of service. He was an avid collector of police memorabilia for over 50 years.

Bob was born on February 16, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to George and Marianna Murray. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Murray; and brother, Edward H Murray,

Bob is survived by his sons; George "Skip" Murray (Cynthia), III, and John Murray (Cindy); Daughter, Harriett Beck; sister, Patricia Jean O'Nan; grandchildren, Cody Beck, Stephen Murray, Collin Murray, Erin Murray, Blaine Murray, and Meredith Murray; Great-Grandchild, Gabriela Murray.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church (6500 St. Bernadette Ave. Prospect, KY 40059), with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

The family requests that contributions in Bob's memory be made to Wounded Warriors or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
