George Michael Miller, also known as Mike, passed away at home on October 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on July 13, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mike was a proud graduate of Fern Creek High School. He also served his country in the Army and National Guard, a commitment that remained one of the accomplishments held closest by him and by those who knew and loved him.
He built a long and dedicated career as a UPS truck driver, serving for 38 years, where he made friendships he cherished. His work reflected the kind of man he was: hardworking, dependable, and devoted to providing for his family. Among the accomplishments that meant the most to him were his military service and achieving over 1 million miles as a truck driver, a remarkable testament to his endurance, commitment, and steady sense of responsibility.
Mike will be remembered as a simple man who found joy in the everyday things he loved. He enjoyed working on cars, taking care of his yard, and cleaning his garage. He also loved baseball, whether attending his children’s baseball games or going to professional baseball games. Above all, he loved his wife and grandchildren, and he took deep pride in his family. His 52-year marriage to his wife Connie, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and the life they built together were among his proudest accomplishments.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Connie Miller; his sons, Scott Miller and Jeff (Isabelle) Miller; and his daughter, Rosa Miller. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Mason Allen (Brittni), and Kaila Allen; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kamiyah, Brooklynn, Maycie, Kayden, and Kayson. He is further survived by his sisters, Barbara (Norbert) Receveur and Carol (David) Selby. Each of them shared in the love, strength, and steady presence that Mike brought to his family throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, George H. Miller; his mother, Dollie Miller; his sister, Janice Floore; his brother, Gary Miller Sr.; his daughter, Amy Allen. Their memory remained part of his life and the story of the family he cherished so deeply.
