George Mcgee

October 12, 1929 — April 20, 2015

George "Tuff" McGee, 85, of Simpsonville, Kentucky passed away on April 20, 2015. He was a retired tobacco and dairy farmer. He loved anything to do with the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. Tuff was also an avid University of Kentucky fan.

George was born on October 12, 1929 in Cox's Creek, Kentucky to the late George and Dolly (Hardesty) McGee. He was also preceded in death by three brothers; Pete McGee, Tom McGee and Bill McGee.

George is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marlene (Middleton) McGee; sons; Gilbert "Doc" McGee, Jerry "Jake" McGee (Dana), grandchildren, Christina Lynn Lucas, Brandi Nicole Barnett, Katie Jean McGee, Michelle Renee McGee, great-grandchildren; Keyana Cheyenne Brunner and Skyler Wayne Lucas, Amber Barnett, Jami McGee and Christian Lindsey.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville).

Funeral ceremonies will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville with burial to follow at Simpsonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
