George L. Dunigan of New Albany, Indiana, died at Hillcrest Village on Monday, September 14, 2020, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, at the age of 86.
He was born on January 26, 1934, in Knox County, Indiana, to the late Newell and Anna Lee (Perry) Dunigan and lived most of his life in Gibson County, Indiana. He graduated from Owensville High School in 1952. George received the National Defense Service Medal from the US Army for his military service from 1953 through 1956 during the Korean War.
In 1957, he married Vanna Wilder with whom he had three children; daughter, Terri of Fort Branch, Indiana; son, Michael of New Albany, Indiana; and son, Steven of Fort Branch, Indiana. And together they had five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
George is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earl.
At George's request, no visitation or services will be held.
