George Diaz, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020. George was a member of Cornerstone Community Church, where he was passionate about Evangelism. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and spending time at his Melody Lake home. George served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was born on November 10, 1946 in Houston, Texas to Daniel and Marcela (Castillo) Diaz. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, Daniel Diaz, Jr., Robert Diaz, and Lazaro Diaz.
George is survived by his loving Wife of 39 years, Connie Diaz, Daughters, Marcy (Daniel) Pierce, Abigail Diaz, and Emmy Diaz, Son, John (Jonelle) Diaz, Grandchildren, Titan Pierce, Danica Pierce, Alex Diaz, Violet Diaz, Gavin Puckett, and Ryan Powell, Jr., Brothers, Rick Diaz, and Ernie Diaz. George also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, and Extended Family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be at 5:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on January 30, 2020 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
