George G. Bowe, Jr., 66, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019. George was a "free-spirited" man who loved cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, music, and all animals. He will be remembered as a very supportive and loving man to his family.
He was born on September 19, 1952, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late George, Sr., and Lenora (Davis) Bowe. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Daral Lynn Bowe.
George is survived by his loving wife, Doraveen Duvall Bowe; children, Bruce (Heather) Bowe, Dana (Cherlon Childress) Bowe, Charles (Angela) Duvall, Chance Carlile, and Angela (Eric) Mooney; grandchildren; Melissa Dunn, Dakota Brison, Logan Wood, Joshua Wood, Ezric Mooney, Charlette Duvall, and Genevieve Duvall; and sister-in-law, Rochelle Bowe.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at St. John Paul II-St.Joe Hill Campus Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family requests that contributions in George's memory be made to American Cancer Association.
