Geneva Marcum, 93, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Geneva was a devout Christian; being a charter member of Bethel Flock Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, writing, reading, visiting the sick, spreading the word of Jesus Christ and spending time with her family.
She was born on May 9, 1927 in Ethridge , Tennessee to Joseph Cleve and Mary Alice Dickey Williams . Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Marcum, children, Deborah Meenach, and Ronald G. Marcum, and siblings, Francis, Clevie, Maycille, and Joseph.
Geneva is survived by her children Roger Marcum, Randy Marcum, and Richard Marcum, grandchildren, CJ (Matt), Candy Jo (Ronnie), Dede (Clint), Doug (Keisha), Richard (Sabrina) Marcum II, Jennifer, Ronald G. Marcum II, Brandy (Michael), Sarah Glass, Anthony, Rebecca (Zeb), Rachel, Joseph, Matthew, Alexander (Katy), Jonathan, Sarah (Anthony) Ruiz, and Jared, along with 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Sunday, July 12th at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel. A service honoring Geneva's life will begin at 10am on Monday, July 13th at the funeral home and she will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park.
The family kindly suggest that expressions of sympathy be made to either the Louisville Metro Police Foundation or the Masonic Home of Louisville.
