Gayle Curtiss Countryman

Gayle Curtiss Countryman passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born on January 29, 1941, in Kaufman, Texas, Gayle grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. He went on to build a long career as an engineer with Southwestern Bell Telephone, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. He was also a member of Crestwood Church of Christ.

Gayle found happiness in simple and lasting things. He enjoyed flyfishing and treasured the time he spent with his family. Those who knew him will remember a man whose life was grounded in work, faith, and the people he loved. He was a great man and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Countryman; his children, Kara Countryman, Tony Migliavacca and his wife Amy, David Countryman, and Zhona Eden and her husband Tony; his grandchildren, Evan Rolley, Tigerlily Broomfield, Alex, Leo, and Lillia Migliavacca; and his brother, Gerald Countryman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Coyle and Margie Countryman.

Gayle’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew and loved him.
